Current Register can be viewed
HERE. Please submit
your number before 30 September 2006.
Well here is something I've tried to get going through
to my club but nothing has ever happened, so I'm going to start it myself
through the forum and through my own website. When I have enough names and race
numbers, I will forward it to the SWG to act upon.
Basically it's exactly what the title says, a NATIONAL RACE NUMBER REGISTER.
Now, National Events means, National Titles or National Invitational's. It is
NOT a meeting run by State Club. Of course there will be some conflict, so we
need to set some rules. I will point my ideas for rules below. Remember, this is
for National Events, not Club Race Meetings, however I encourage entrants to use
their same number at National events and state club racing if at all possible. I
would also encourage State Clubs to use the National Race number system at their
events to diffuse confusion.
1) You must submitt your Name, Race Number and Class to be in the register, also when you completed your "P" Plates.
2) The plan is to have OWNERSHIP of RACE Numbers to come into effect as of 30
September, 2006, in time for the National Titles for Eastern Creek in November.
3) If there is a conflict on submitting a race number in to the register before 30
Sept, 2006, then the entrant who was most recent on their "P" plates loses their
priority and therefore needs to select another number. They will be notified of
a conflict ASAP and before 30th September so they can select another number of
their choice ASAP. Can also view the Current Register to see what is currently
available, and what is contestable.
4) Once you are AWARDED a race number (after 30 September), it's yours, you have Total OWNERSHIP for
that number at National Events.
5) Once you are AWARDED a race number that you now have OWNERSHIP of, then you want
to change it to another number, you must select a number that has NO OWNERSHIP,
and you then risk losing OWNERSHIP of your old number in doing so.
6) If you race at a National Event and use a number that is NOT your registered
number, meanwhile your registered number is also not being used at that very
same event by someone else, then you lose OWNERSHIP of your Registered number.
OK, Get the drift??? My thoughts are to give priority to those that have been around longer, not
what class they drive. I feel this is the fairest system. If you have a better
idea, please share it. This is just an idea that I have put together, I can't
see why it won't be adopted when I hand in the data.
Proberly we should have 2 registers for National Events.
1 for 250 Int, 250 Nat, 125GB
1 for 125Max L/H and 80cc.
I still encourage to try and fit everyone into 1 register first. Let's
just see how it pans out, then it can be fine tuned.
So if you support this idea, please submit your Name, Race Number, Class, and Month/Year of when you
completed your 'P' Plates.
CURRENT REGISTER
This is just a start, the above are not yet confirmed and can be contested before 30 Sept 2006,
however you must have completed your P Plates before that person did, otherwise
you lose out. If you don't register before 30th September and someone with
lesser priority gets in before you, then you lose out. Contesting for a
duplicate number can only happen between now and 30th September, after then it's
first in, take what's available, then you have ownership.
So let's start compiling,
email me your details if you wish to register or any feedback on this idea.
I have provided a spreadsheet and give updates often as they come in above. So
be quick, tell your mates, do whatever.....this is something I want to present
to the SWG to then hopefully ratify. I'm starting this for YOU the members, and I don't
think it should be that hard for the SWG to maintain.
